[Gallatin County, MT October 23, 2023] – The Salvation Army is gearing up for its annual Angel Tree registration. The Angel Tree Program is a Christmas assistance program that helps families in need where parents and guardians can register for help in providing gifts, toys, clothing, and food for their families during the holiday season.
This year the Salvation Army is able to offer for the families to register by going online to this web address: https://saangeltree.org/ . This option is currently open for applicants to apply. However, if that is not possible for families, they can register in person by calling 406.586.5813 and scheduling an appointment; where assistance filling out the form is available.
Captain Amber Ohl, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army Bozeman, said she expects to see an increase in families needing assistance this holiday season due to the ongoing financial stresses starting with the pandemic and continuing on through the current inflation.
“The community has always been very helpful, especially with the Angel Tree Program. So, I am looking forward to being able to help any child that needs it.”
Here are the eligibility requirements:
• Valid photo id for parents, guardian, all adults in household.
• Birth certificates for children 0 to 12 years old.
• Proof of all household income.
The Angel Tree program is entirely community based and supported. “Corporate Angel Tree” sites come together to meet the needs of those registered in the program. Any business, office, church, or service group can serve our communities as a Corporate Angel Tree. Register with The Salvation Army at 406.586.5813 or email at Amber.Ohl@usw.salvationarmy.org
