June 12th is Kids Day at the Livingston Farmers Market, sponsored by Sky Federal Credit Union. It’s a day filled with unique experiences for your little ones. They can set up their own booth to sell hand-made items, get their faces painted, embark on a thrilling scavenger hunt for a chance to win a prize, meet Milkshake the cow, witness a milking demo, and even get a free milk. They can also plant some seeds in a cow pot with Aspen and run through a bouncy house obstacle course donated by Bozeman Inflatables!
We’re thrilled to present three local youth bands, all set to rock the stage with their incredible talent. Our favorite MC, Garrett Stanard, will be hosting the show. The music starts at 4:30 pm with The Faux, followed by As We Become at 5:30 pm and Take Two at 6:30 pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the amazing talent of these young musicians!
Prepared food vendors will serve up a storm, including Bad Burger, CC Gourmet, Cowboy Catering (Baja Tacos), Island Noodle, Funk Family Foods, Old Faithful Hotdogs, and Piece of Crepe. And that’s not all! We also have a sweet treat for everyone, with vendors like Caroline’s Soft Serve Ice Cream, Mountain Berry Bowls, Mountain Fresh Italian Ice, Smoothie & Cream, and Tropical Sno offering a delightful variety of desserts.
Other Special Days include Give A Hoot About the Farmers Market on June 26th, The Cayden Leonard Memorial Bike Rodeo on July 17th , Healthy Soils Day on July 24th, Give A Hoot Grand Finale on July 31st, Art At The Market Day on August 7th, Eat Local Day on August 14th and Community Health Day on September 4th.
The Livingston Farmers Market is not just about fun and food, it’s about community support. We offer three food access programs for Park County residents: the Senior Farmers Market Nutritional Program (SFMNP), the Livingston Food Resource Center’s (LFRC) Health Families Token Program, and, also in partnership with LFRC, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) with double SNAP benefits. These programs provide essential nutritional support for our community, helping low-paid working families, low-income older adults (60 years and older), people with disabilities living on fixed incomes, and other individuals and households with low incomes. The Double SNAP program helps to stretch the dollar even further by providing a one-to-one match for every dollar of SNAP benefits spent at the Market, up to $20 per week.
Since 2002, WSE has organized the Livingston Farmers Market, a true community gathering that their proud of. They feature the freshest, healthiest food our region offers, along with live music and special events that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages. Located on the banks of the beautiful Yellowstone River in the heart of Livingston, the Market is a perfect place to enjoy a warm summer afternoon and feel a part of our vibrant community.
