A BIG congratulations to Miss Delanie Harper, a 4th grade student at Shields Valley School in Wilsall, for her first-place drawing for the Energy Share of Montana Art Contest. Her drawing will be featured on a billboard in Shields Valley, scheduled to go up on March 18th, and also on thank-you cards and advertising for the program. Delanie’s drawing depicts warmth and compassion for people in need in the mountains of Montana. Delanie is in Ms. Olsen’s class.
On Thursday, February 22nd, Cynthia Smith from the HRDC in Bozeman and Roxanne Klingensmith, Energy Share Board President, presented Delanie with her $75 prize. Additionally, Energy Share is buying pizza for Ms. Olsen’s class as a “congratulations” for all their fine artwork.
Using the medium of art, Olsen has taught her students about our Montana neighbors who sometimes need additional help keeping warm in the winter. Per Energy Share’s contest guidelines, the drawings by her students depict what Energy Share means to them.
