Get involved in the Livingston Hoot!
The Hoot is back and better than ever! Returning to downtown Livingston on Thursday, August 8th, the Livingston Hoot will feature opening band Western Flyers doing tight Texas swing for your dancing pleasure and headliner Texas boogie queen Marcia Ball and her band, with special guest Tracy Nelson.
“We’re excited to have a female headliner for the first time,” said Hoot co-producer John Lowell. “Marcia is an amazing performer who was just inducted in the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame.”
The Hoot is a free one-day event featuring food and drink vendors, a children’s play area, and an opportunity to interact with Park County’s non-profit organizations. The event is made possible through sponsorship donations, grants and the support of the Park
County Community Foundation, the Livingston Business Improvement District and the City of Livingston.
“We’ll be making more announcements soon, “ added Lowell. “This year we plan to make the Hoot plastic free – we encourage you to bring your water containers to refill. We’ll provide water stations down Main Street and hope to eliminate a lot of trash. The Park County Environmental Council is working with us to provide biodegradable/compostable cups and straws to every bar and restaurant on Main Street which should make a serious impact.”
